EACR - NE District © 2019
As the government has formerly removed the restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, towers are now returning to practice and service ringing. However, some towers may not have made the decision to return to ringing yet and may have made their own decisions regarding the wearing of face coverings, numbers of ringers present and the number of bells that can be rung safely. It is therefore important to contact the relevant correspondent prior to visiting a tower for practice or service ringing.
Specific practice update:
St Peter’s Colchester - 3rd Thursday of each month starting on the 16th of Sept
Layer de la Haye - 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month starting on the 21st of Sept
Tendring & Great Holland - alternate Tuesdays starting on the 7th Sept (Tendring)
Great Bentley - Mondays and alternate Wednesdays starting on the 8th of Sept
St Osyth - alternate Wednesdays starting on the 15th of Sept. (No practice on the 8th of Sept)
Mistley - Thursdays 19.30 - 20.30
In all cases, please contact the tower correspondent if you are wishing to attend a practice night or intending to join the service ringing band
