Practice News

Important update:

Whilst restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have been removed in England, towers may have different approaches to ensure safety based on the size of the ringing room, the amount of ventilation, or the wishes of the incumbent and ringing members. It is therefore important to contact the relevant Tower Captain or correspondent prior to visiting a tower for practice or service ringing.

Specific practice update:

There are currently no practices in Shrub End

St Peter’s Colchester - 3rd Thursday of each month

Layer de la Haye - Monday 7 - 8pm

Great Tey - Wednesday 7.30 - 9pm

Tendring & Great Holland - alternate Tuesdays.

Great Bentley - Mondays and alternate Wednesdays

St Osyth - alternate Wednesdays. In addition, there is a practice every Wednesday from 13.30 - 15.30

The Cluster Ringing Group practice schedule has changed, please check the updated version for Great Bentley, St Osyth, Great Holland & Tendring here:

Mistley - Thursdays 19.30 - 20.30

In all cases, please contact the tower correspondent if you are wishing to attend a practice night or intending to join the service ringing band

Layer de la Haye practice night has changed to Monday from 7 - 8pm

Great Tey practice has changed to Wednesday 7.30 - 9pm

Little Bromley bells are not currently ringable
