Old Tenor (now Service bell)

Miles+   Graye+   Made+   Me+   1663  W+G    {pull Chiming}

In 2004 the bells were rehung on ball bearings in their oak frame and new rope guides added by Whites of Appleton. When removing the head stock of the tenor, the bell had a very big crack running through the top of it so a new tenor bell was needed. A new bell was cast by Whitechapel bell Foundry in London weighing 10cwt, The old tenor bell hangs in the sound room and is hung for chiming.
